This does not establish the cause of your particular episode. “It happened after my injection” is a useful observation, not proof that every stomach illness is medication-related.

Tell the prescribing team when symptoms interfere with eating, drinking, sleep or work, even if another person describes worse symptoms online. You do not have to earn an appointment by reaching somebody else's threshold. Ask for an individual plan before symptoms recur.

For mild symptoms without warning signs

If you can keep fluids down, the NHS suggests small sips when nauseated and eating when you feel able; fatty or spicy foods may be harder to tolerate. Follow any personal fluid restrictions. These measures do not replace help for persistent or worsening symptoms.

Make the next conversation specific

• Timing: record when nausea began, when vomiting occurred and when the last prescribed administration actually happened. Mark remembered times as approximate.

• Fluids and daily impact: note whether drinks stayed down, any change in urination, and the activity you could not manage. Avoid guessing exact fluid losses.
• Context: list other medicines, recent illness and any instructions already received. Include the name of the clinician and date of advice.
