GLP-1 tracker comparison
Capydose vs MeAgain: what do you want to record?
Capydose emphasizes personal records, reminders and reports on iPhone. MeAgain combines medication tracking with assisted meal logging and chat. Choose around the daily work you actually want help with.
Compare the workflow, beyond the mascot
Both products use a capybara companion. The more useful distinction is what happens when you open the app: do you want to make a short personal record, or get assistance entering meals and exploring educational content?
| Your priority | Capydose | MeAgain |
|---|---|---|
| Dose and symptom records | Personal log, reminders and history. | Shot/pill tracking and symptoms beside food and progress. |
| Food entry | Manual nutrition entries; no advertised AI meal-photo scanner. | Photo, barcode, voice and search workflows. |
| Storage preference | Local health log; no account sync or restorable backup. | Account and submitted-content processing described in its privacy policy. |
| Language and platform | Ten languages; iOS 18+; Android in review. | iPhone and Android; checked US listing identifies English. |
| Cost decision | Premium treatment tracking. | Some features require a subscription. |

Choose around a typical day
If your main task is remembering what happened: Capydose brings dates, administered doses, symptoms and personal notes into a routine you can review before an appointment. PDF/CSV reports let you decide what to share. It can suit someone who prefers manual entries and a local record over a broader online service.
If your main task is entering meals: MeAgain's documented photo, barcode, voice and search methods offer choices beyond manual totals. Its site also describes progress photos and an educational chat companion. These may matter more than switching to another tracker with similar dose logging. Explore MeAgain's workflow
Make a deliberate privacy choice
Capydose keeps its health log on the device, while limited purchase information is handled for subscriptions. Optional Apple Health access is read-only. The absence of account sync also means you need to understand its deletion and device-loss limits. Read the full storage policy.
MeAgain's policy describes account information, submitted content and chatbot-interaction processing, including service providers for AI features. This is a different workflow, not evidence that the service is unsafe. Review the policy against the features you intend to use. Read MeAgain's policy
A recent user report, without overstating it
On September 13, 2026, Just a Day at a Time gave MeAgain version 2.3.0 one star, reporting trouble opening the app after an update. They also said they had enjoyed it before that issue. We have not reproduced the problem and do not know whether a later version resolves it. This supports checking current reviews and record-access options, not calling the app generally unreliable. Three practical checks
- Try entering the same ordinary day: a dose record, a symptom note and whichever nutrition information you choose to monitor.
- Find that day again and check what you could bring to a healthcare appointment.
- Review the subscription screen, record-storage policy and language support before moving your routine.
Neither app should promise better treatment results simply because you log more fields. Start with the records useful to you and your healthcare professional. See the five-app directory.
Tracking apps organize records. They do not establish that a medicine caused a symptom, measure blood medication levels, or tell you to change a dose. Follow the plan from your healthcare professional.
